By the end of 1980s, ribbon technology was seen as an anachronism by Oktava management and the successful ML-19 unidirectional ribbon microphone was discontinued. The ML19 had been used extensively for studio and concert recording of music and speech.
Now, in the new millenium, the vintage sound of ribbon microphones is being re-discovered by engineers and producers everywhere. RTT has bought up private stock of original ML19s to meet the demand.
The ML19 provides offers an extremely well-balanced frequency spectrum. Unlike traditional bi-directional ribbon mics, it delivers good HF reproduction, which gives a smooth and articulate voice to acoustic guitar, violin and voice. We have clients who particularly like these on upright bass and piano,as well.
The ML19 package we offer is as it was produced in the late 1970s & 1980s except for replacement cables and connectors. Only where necessary have the mics been completely refurbished with new ribbons and screens.

The ML-19 is sold as-is. These microphones were discontinued 2 decades ago, so we cannot offer any warranty. We do however guarantee that you will receive an ML-19 in perfect working condition.
